Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN) Solution

5G non-terrestrial network (NTN) feature functionality was first standardized in 3GPP release 17. It includes multiple requirements in order to support connectivity between terrestrial and non-terrestrial LEO assets. Imagine being able to connect with a satellite from your phone, or have millions of low power sensors deployed and connected with a low-earth orbit satellite from space. These are some of the scenarios 3GPP had in mind when standardizing NTN.
